Vegan snack brand Peakz has released three new flavours to market with lower-sugar recipes, alongside a packaging update.
UK-based Peakz, which makes wholegrain chocolate-covered squares, has added mint chocolate, berry chocolate and hazelnut chocolate to its portfolio.
All the brand’s flavours are vegan and free from palm oil, additives and colouring.
Peakz said it coats its squares in dark chocolate “which is not only packed full of nutrients and antioxidants but has also been proven to lower blood pressure, reduce arterial stiffness [and] improve blood flow”. The updated range has 15% less sugar than before.
Co-founder of Peakz, Aalya Magsi, said: “Initial consumer tasting has been incredible. The new flavours are well received and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive.”
A packaging refresh has seen vibrant colours assigned to each flavour for easy consumer recognition. Meanwhile, nutritional information on the back of the package is even written in multiple languages – including English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Swedish, and Norwegian – due to the expansion of Peakz in foreign markets.
The brand said it launched its hazelnut flavour as it aims to be at the forefront of the healthy snack market after it observed a rise in hazelnut-flavoured new product launches.
Other flavours in the range include chocolate orange, plain chocolate and salted caramel. The products are sold with a recommended retail price of £1.10.
