PepsiCo’s Doritos brand has entered the tube snacks market with the launch of new Doritos Stax in the UK.
Doritos Stax are packaged in a new triangular tube, marking an exciting new take on the brand’s tortilla chip and its biggest ever launch.
The new product is available in three flavours: Ultimate Cheese, Sour Cream & Onion and Mexican Chilli Salsa.
According to PepsiCo, the new format and varieties are targeted at ‘those who love bold flavours and want to try a snack with a little more excitement’.
Made almost entirely of cardboard, the new package design is both resealable and recyclable.
The launch will be supported with a digital advertising campaign, a TV advertisement to encourage the public to ‘choose bold’, as well as partnerships with social media influencers.
Clafoutie Sintive, PepsiCo’s marketing director on sharing snacks, said: “At Doritos, we’re all about making bold choices, so we couldn’t be more excited to launch our newest snacking innovation – Doritos Stax.
“We’re confident that Doritos fans are going to love the bold flavours and the recyclable tube packaging. Sustainability is now more critical than ever, so this was a key factor in the development of Stax and we’re immensely proud of what we’ve created.”
The 170g tubes of Doritos Stax will be available from late April onwards across all major supermarkets and convenience stores for an RRP of £2.50.
