Unilever tea brand PG Tips has expanded its green, and fruit and herbal tea ranges with the introduction of seven new flavours, available from next month.
The new flavours include strawberry cupcake, lemon pie and orange green teas, while the new fruit and herbals flavours comprise apple and cinnamon, honey and lemon balm, pear and caramel, plus cool citrus. Following on from the introduction of a new speciality tea line in August last year, the new variants will each have a recommended retail price of £1.39.
PG Tips has grown its fruit, herbal and green tea sales by over 64% in the past 12 months and, with its latest launch, the brand aims to build on this success by tapping into the increased consumer demand for new and experimental flavours at an accessible price point.
Lola Danlos, brand manager for PG Tips fruit, herbal and green teas, said: “By launching new and exciting flavours into our portfolio we aim to build on the growth we’ve seen across our range of fruit, herbal and green teas in 2014 and 2015, and attract even more new consumers to the category.”
