Pladis is launching a hazelnut flavour of its McVitie’s Hobnobs Nibbles range in the UK as it responds to consumer demand for nut-flavoured products.
The Hobnobs Nibbles line has grown by 3% in value year-on-year and consists of five other variants: digestives milk chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel, milk chocolate orange, and milk chocolate.
Pladis said that the range is “is ideally suited for evening sharing, an occasion that is trending amongst the younger demographic”.
Kerry Owens, Pladis UK marketing director for sweet biscuits, said: “Our McVitie’s Nibbles range has performed exceptionally well over the last year, in part due to the increasing popularity of the evening sharing occasion.
“We’ve added hazelnut to the Hobnobs Nibbles range, as nut-flavoured products are in high-demand and trend-forecasts show it will continue to grow over the next five years.”
Owned by Yildiz Holding, Pladis was established in 2016 when United Biscuits, Ulker, Godiva Chocolatier (excluding stores), and DeMet’s Candy Company united as one global business.
