Premium pudding brand Pots & Co is launching a limited-edition Pick-me-up Tiramisù in the UK, with all profits donated to frontline staff.
The Pots & Co chefs’ take on a classic Tiramisù is inspired by the Italian meaning “pick-me-up”, as it launches in Waitrose stores nationwide from 15 July amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new dessert combines a smooth mascarpone and coffee cream with a biscotti and chocolate crunch topping.
According to Pots & Co, 100% of all profits will be donated to frontline staff in partnership with NHS charity HEROES and The Care Workers’ Charity.
The alcohol-free pudding was created in partnership between the Pots & Co Innovation Team and British Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard. Together, they have been delivering meals from Howard’s restaurant to frontline workers along with Pots & Co desserts.
“We’ve launched a number of initiatives during lockdown to help give thanks to frontline staff; the launch of our chefs’ take on a Pick-me-up Tiramisù in Waitrose marks the next step in this journey,” said Julian Dyer, founder of Pots & Co.
He added: “Whether donations from our desserts directly help the NHS staff that have helped us throughout these tough times, or supporting care workers, we hope the nation can get onboard and help give thanks yet again for their extraordinary efforts.”
Pick-me-up Tiramisù will be available to purchase in twin packs for an RRP of £3.50 and will include randomised coloured pots, enabling consumers to create a symbolic rainbow in support of frontline workers.
