Shortlisted companies for this year’s Institute of Water Innovation Awards, sponsored by Northumbrian Water, have been announced.
Experts from the world of water, including two CEO’s of the country’s big water and sewerage companies, will attend the Annual Conference and Exhibition being held at the Royal Society, London on 17-18 May.
The key theme of the conference is, ‘Changing the industry for a sustainable legacy’ and figures from throughout the industry will host sessions as the world of water, currently challenged in the UK with drought, is the focus of attention.
Martin Baggs, CEO of Thames Water, sponsors of the conference, and Heidi Mottram, CEO of Northumbrian Water, will give the keynote addresses.
Pamela Taylor, chief executive of Water UK and Patron of the Institute of Water is also supporting the Awards.
She said: “I am pleased to add my support to the Institute of Water as they seek to promote a cultural environment for innovation to flourish, and wish to invite the overall winner of the National Innovation Awards for 2012 to take part in this year’s Water UK Innovation Hub.”
