The Quaker Oats Company has combined its Chewy granola bars with a range of flavours inspired by Girl Scout Cookies – from the Girl Scouts of the USA – to unveil all new Quaker Chewy Girl Scouts granola bars.
The not-for-profit organisation has been selling cookies such as thin mints and caramel Samoas for almost 100 years as a major fundraising initiative for local Scout units. PepsiCo-owned Quaker Oats will now produce two varieties of its Chewy granola bars inspired by a pair of the Scouts’ most popular cookie variants.
Quaker Chewy Girl Scouts thin mints granola bars have been made available nationwide and Quaker Chewy Girl Scouts caramel coconut granola bars will be available at Target and other select retailers from this month. The snacks combine 8g of whole grains with two distinct flavour offerings, topped off with a chocolate drizzle.
Each box features eight granola bars and will retail for $3.29.
Quaker Foods North America marketing director Sofia Colucci said: “We love finding exciting ways for families to enjoy Quaker Chewy granola bars through new and inspiring flavours. We are thrilled to offer families the delightful Girl Scout cookie flavours they know and love in a delicious granola bar form.”
Girl Scouts of the USA chief revenue officer Barry Horowitz added: “We are pleased to be working with The Quaker Oats Company to spread the message of Girl Scouts, and the impact it can have on a girl’s life, to families across America wherever they shop, and to remind them of the fun of Girl Scouting every day.”
