Culligan-owned Quench has announced the acquisition of California-based Pure Water Technology of San Diego (PWT of San Diego).
PWT of San Diego is a supplier of commercial water solutions such as mains-fed water dispensers to customers in the San Diego area. The company formerly operated as a dealer partner for Pure Health Solutions (PHSI), which was acquired by Quench in 2018 for $57.6 million.
A statement from Quench claims that this deal represents its ninth acquisition in the last year, and this purchase will more than double Quench’s presence in the “high-growth” San Diego market.
Todd Peterson, COO of Quench, said: “This acquisition demonstrates our continued success in partnering with our extensive and growing network of Pure Water Technology, Wellsys and Bluline dealers.
“We are committed to supporting our independent dealers throughout their stages of development from start-up through growth to exit.”
Tina Scherr, co-owner of Pure Water Technology of San Diego, added: “Quench has been a great partner in growing our business as well as during the acquisition process.
“We are excited to join forces with the industry leader in filtered commercial water solutions, and I am confident our customers will be thrilled as well.”
Culligan acquired Quench as part of its $1.1 billion purchase of AquaVenture Holdings, which closed in March 2020.
While owned by AquaVenture, Quench made a number of major acquisitions, including the purchase of Pure Planet Water and Jonli Water Services in December 2019, the acquisition of Carolina Pure Water in July 2019, and more.
