Juice manufacturer and packager Refresco Gerber will become Refresco, dropping the second half of its name in a major rebranding move.
The change reflects the successful integration of its two constituent businesses and is designed to facilitate further global expansion, Refresco said. It follows two and a half years after the merger of Refresco and Gerber Emig juice.
Commenting on the change, Refresco UK managing director David Saint said: “The Refresco brand gives the organisation clarity and consistency, simplicity and focus. It is a unique name, which will enable us to expand into new markets such as Asia and America, furthering our ambitions for the business.”
Refresco is the UK’s biggest ambient and chilled juice provider producing over 700 million litres of soft drinks per year, as well as a leading European bottler of soft drinks and fruit juices for retailers and branded operators with production in the UK, Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia, Italy, Poland and Finland. It offers brands and private-label customers product innovation, sourcing, contract manufacturing and third party logistics solutions for 100% fruit juices, carbonated soft drinks and mineral waters.
