Rexam will use Drinktec as a platform to showcase its commitment to its ‘5Ps’ philosophy: Products, Partners, Planet, Passion and Pioneers, with a particular focus on innovation and sustainability.
Rexam’s stand will show the most extensive range of beverage cans, bottles and special finishes in the industry, developed to enhance its customers’ brand marketing potential and, in turn, the consumers’ beverage experience.
Innovations such as Photochromic Ink and Thermochromic Printed Ends will be seen by many for the first time at the show, alongside the breakthrough and ‘first to market’ Editions Technology (patent pending), which allows Rexam to produce up to 24 designs of the same label simultaneously on a single pallet.
As Rexam continues to push the manufacturing potential of the beverage can sector to new heights, visitors to the stand will get an update on the development of Fusion Contour, the prototype of which was unveiled at last year’s Brau Beviale.
To underpin Rexam’s role as a leader in innovation, its involvement in Drinktec 2013 will extend far beyond the stand, as headline sponsor of the Beverage Innovation Awards, the winners of which will be announced on Thursday 19 September in the Drinktec Forum. You will also be able to hear in the Innovation Flow Lounge a senior Rexam leader taking part in a panel debate focusing on the role of packaging in modern society and brand building.
In conjunction with Rexam’s drive and passion for innovation, its commitment to becoming a more sustainable business will be evident to all those who visit the stand at Drinktec.
Iain Percival, Rexam’s European sector director, says of Rexam’s sustainability commitment: “We at Rexam understand and do not underestimate the effect our actions can have on those around us. It is vital that we work closely with all our suppliers and customers to ensure we are striving to be as sustainable as we possibly can across the whole supply chain process. This is an area of the business we all take very seriously and something I am particularly passionate about. Following the 2012 launch of our Sustainability Report, we have set our European business four defined and challenging sustainability targets for 2013, and one of the key discussion points for our team and our customers at Drinktec will be around how we can work and support them in their own sustainability goals.”
