Smurfit Kappa and Vitop to showcase Bag-in-Box innovations

Smurfit Kappa and Vitop will exhibit their new complete Bag-in-Box packaging solutions and specific fitments for water at Watercoolers Europe 2015.

The “Bag-in-Box is the perfect packaging solution for the growing market of packaged water” as it is hygienic and reliable, and minimises the risk of contamination and falsification, Smurfit Kappa claimed in a statement. It also remains ecologically friendly and cost-effective, making it a tamper-evident one-way packaging solution that simplifies the whole chain of collection and refilling.

Vitop’s latest development, meanwhile, is a simple connection kit between a Bag-in-Box equipped with a Vitop original tap and classic water fountain. This concept enables easy use of Bag-in-Box on existing water coolers.

Vitop will also showcase its specific Hydro tap for bottles of water, which ensures a steady flow of water and perfect hygiene thanks to the double tamper-evidence. The innovation guarantees a total integrity to the final consumer, the Italian-based company said.

Watercoolers Europe 2015 will take place later this month in Rome, Italy.
