Frito-Lay has launched two new peanut butter crunch and double chocolate flavours of its Cracker Jack’D snack brand, designed “to keep engines running between meals”.
The new Protein Mix range contains 7g of protein per serving and feature sweet coated peanuts mixed with crunchy granola clusters. Specifically intended for men, “each flavour element was uniquely developed for the working male who wants a hearty and filling sweet snack that will help fuel each day to the finish line,” the brand said.
Protein Mix will launch in 2.75oz bags in retailers across the US market with a recommended retail price of $2.49. The range joins Cracker Jack’D’s existing Hearty Mix, Energy Trail Mix and Clusters lines of snack products.
Frito-Lay senior director of marketing Ryan Matiyow said: “Protein provides the energy needed to get through life’s everyday hurdles. New peanut butter crunch and double chocolate Cracker Jack’D snack mixes give consumers a great tasting snack with the fuel they desire to help them to power through the day.”
The company’s popcorn brand Cracker Jack, upon which the Cracker Jack’D brand is based, previously released a chocolate peanut butter-flavoured variant of its popcorn.
