SodaStream has launched a new at-home carbonator pick-up service that will allow consumers to more easily and sustainably recycle their used carbonator cylinders.
The new Fizz Concierge programme, available in select regions across the US Northeast, will allow SodaStream users to return previous CO2 carbonators and receive full carbonators from the comfort of their homes in a few quick steps.
In the pilot phase of the programme, consumers in select areas will now be able to order two new 60 litre cylinders straight to their door from their computer, tablet or mobile device – earning them $30‘s worth of loyalty points, redeemable for carbonator cylinder refills or new drinks mixes, for every return.
SodaStream is gradually rolling out the new cylinder return scheme across six locations on the US’ East coast – Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington DC – before a nationwide expansion by the end of 2016.
SodaStream US president John Sheppard said: “In the company’s effort to increase sustainability initiatives and consistently seek ways to reduce our carbon footprint, we are now rolling out SodaStream Fizz Concierge, which will ensure a greater number of our used CO2 canisters will be reused. Our new service also helps us offer the upmost convenience to our many loyal consumers.”
