The award-winning coffee is made in small batches at the Tate Roastery in Herne Hill. Tate works closely with small importers and coffee estates across Guatemala, El Salvador and Brazil and pays a premium to ensure fair trade. Throughout the year, Tate sources coffee beans from across the three different countries depending on the season to guarantee great taste.
Tate Catering has also teamed up with Sacred Spirits to produce a special edition Tate London Dry Gin. Each batch is prepared in small quantities in the micro-distillery to create the finest flavour in every bottle. The gin has strong notes of cardamom, angelica and liquorice and the recipe is retested before each batch is produced, to create consistent quality.
Tate’s exclusive range of beer will be labelled with art work inspired by the latest exhibitions held at the London galleries. The newest limited edition beer has been designed around Paul Klee’s artwork at Tate Modern. The wheat beer is brewed with London Fields and is made with British hops that produce spicy notes. The pilot series adds a citrus and marmalade taste and the method of fermenting brings out the fennel flavour in the yeast.
