The move follows the announcement from The Coca-Cola Company to buy a £30m stake in Innocent Drinks to help fund the company’s mission to get more natural, healthy products to more people across Europe.
Innocent Drinks managing director, Doug Lamont commented: “Building on the strong demand there has been for This Water in the convenience sector, we are now answering the call from the on-trade to launch our all-natural, real fruit quenchers in a bespoke glass bottle.”
This Water initially hit the off-trade as a stand alone brand in the summer of 2007: a phoenix rising from the ashes of Innocent’s four-strong Juicy Water collection originally launched in 2005.
The beverages are free from preservatives, colourings and flavourings.
“Our mission is to make a soft drink a really positive choice for pub-goers by delivering taste, refreshment and innovation in all that we do,” added Mr Lamont.
“With demand for soft drinks in pubs and bars increasing and with the continuing trend to more natural drinks, our all-natural recipes are the ideal way to meet this growing demand.”
In recent months, rival UK-based flavoured water brands have demonstrated that they have been pouring investment towards projects to revitalise labelling and develop product offerings further.
Britvic recently revealed a new look and new flavours for its kids’ brand Fruit Shoot H2O, while Strathmore added a range of flavoured still and sparkling waters to its portfolio under the name Strathmore Twist.
