US dairy cooperative Tillamook has launched two limited-edition ice creams inspired by ‘playfully nostalgic flavours’.
The new monster cookie ice cream features cookie dough ice cream swirled with peanut butter, crispy oats, chocolate flakes and crunchy candies. It’s joined by an Oregon strawberry lemonade variant, which combines refreshing lemonade ice cream with chunks of Oregon-grown strawberries to celebrate the creamery’s local roots.
It hopes that consumers will take to the new flavours as the summer season quickly approaches.
Tillamook ice cream category manager Stephanie Carson said: “With summer comes warmer weather and longer days for relaxing and recharging, making it the most popular time for ice cream enjoyment. We had fun creating special batch flavours that would bring out the kid in all of us while staying true to our highest quality ingredients commitment. Our higher butterfat content makes Tillamook ice cream richer than regular ice cream and naturally delicious.”
The limited-edition flavours, which have already been launched in major US retailers, have quickly become two of Tillamook’s ‘top ten most productive items’, the company said.
They will be available until mid-August at grocers including Fred Meyer, Wal-Mart, and Winco in the Pacific Northwest, California and Arizona. They are packed in 56oz containers with a suggested retail price of between $5.49 and $5.99 per tub.
