California wine company Trinchero Family Estates has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new hard seltzer brand, Del Mar Wine Seltzer.
Del Mar’s range currently encompasses four wine-based seltzer variants: Black Cherry, blending white wine with a touch of lavender; Grapefruit, with rosé wine; White Peach, made with white wine and delivering a hint of honeysuckle; and Watermelon, rosé-based, with notes of mint.
According to the newly-launched brand, its seltzers are made with ‘premium’ California grapes and feature natural flavours. With an ABV of 4%, each 355ml can contains only 95 calories and no added sugar.
“As a family-owned Napa Valley winery with a legacy of giving consumers what they want, we made the decision to enter the space with a light, refreshing and sophisticated wine-based seltzer to challenge malt-based seltzers within the category,” said Dave Derby, senior vice president marketing for Trinchero Family Estates.
“We are confident that consumers will appreciate our decision to leverage our 72 years of winemaking experience to create a grape-based seltzer made from transparent ingredients that they know and love.”
Del Mar Wine Seltzers are available to order online in the US and retail at $8.99 per four-can pack.
