Mash Direct has unveiled a new cabbage bake that can be enjoyed on its own or as an accompaniment to meat, fish and plant-based alternatives.
Suitable for vegetarians, the bake combines steam-cooked cabbage with a rich and creamy sauce and a cheddar cheese crumb.
Mash Direct says that all of its products are prepared immediately after harvesting to ensure freshness of flavour and to retain the natural texture and nutritional benefits of the ingredients.
The Northern Ireland-based company’s full range is low in saturated fat and free from gluten, as well as artificial flavourings, preservatives and colourings.
Jack Hamilton, chief operations officer at Mash Direct, said: “We are pleased to launch our cabbage bake edition in Co-op Food, Booths and Cotswold Fayre. It’s a highly versatile product that is ideal to enjoy on its own or as a delicious accompaniment.
“We have seen an increased demand for high-quality, healthy convenience meals in the UK. Perfect for the changing seasons, this new product will allow Mash Direct to meet continued consumer demand in 2020.”
With an RRP of £1.90, Mash Direct’s cabbage bake is launching into Co-op Food, Booths and Cotswold Fayre.
Earlier this year, the company added cauliflower bites to its portfolio of vegetable accompaniments.
