As the nation’s appetite for pan-Asian cuisine continues to grow, the supermarket is introducing more than 30 Japanese, Chinese and Thai specialist foods. New ingredients include Miso Paste, Organic Coconut Milk and Shaoxing rice wine.
“Recent TV cookery shows such as BBC 2’s Chinese Food Made Easy have fuelled demand for authentic ingredients,” said Waitrose Cooks’ Ingredients buyer, Lydia Gerratt. “Our customers want to find the ingredients easily in one place rather than having to make lots of extra trips to different food shops. We’re confident that the new additions to the Cooks’ Ingredients range will allow customers to recreate the exciting flavours of the Orient from their own kitchen.”
