Ontario-based Waterloo Brewing has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new ready-to-drink vodka cocktail, Seagram Island Time Tiki Mule.
The brewer says that the new RTD brings a ‘Caribbean twist’ to the classic Moscow Mule, by blending the cocktail’s flavours of ginger and lime with pineapple, mango, passion fruit and coconut.
Waterloo Brewing, formerly named Brick Brewing Co, purchased the Canadian rights to Seagram Coolers in 2011.
The launch of the new Seagram RTD, which comes in slim 355ml cans, follows the introduction of Seagram Island Time Anytime last year – a vodka cooler inspired by Caribbean-style fruit punches.
“We launched Seagram Island Time Anytime last summer, and the results were nothing short of remarkable,” said Kim Mannerow, senior marketing manager at Waterloo Brewing.
“Vibrant colours and distinctive Caribbean cocktail styles are a favourite among all of us who can’t wait for summer to start. There are beaches and waterfronts all over this province, and these Seagram Island Time ready-to-drink cocktails are the perfect match.
“At 5% alcohol and a playful twist on a classic cocktail, Seagram Island Time Tiki Mule is the vodka-based cocktail summer weekends are made for. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do making it.”
Seagram Island Time Tiki Mule is available for CAD 12.95 ($9.30) per 6-pack, from LCBO stores across Ontario.
Earlier this year, Waterloo Brewing announced it was expanding its line of Radlers with the launch of new Pineapple and Strawberry Rhubarb flavours.
