Wensleydale Creamery has launched a new range of thick yogurts, made using Yorkshire milk and with a layer of real fruit compote.
New Yorkshire Yogurt is available in rhubarb and vanilla, strawberry and raspberry, toffee apple, and lemon curd varieties. The range is made using milk from Yorkshire cows and represents the North Yorkshire-based creamery’s first entry into the UK’s yogurt category, having traditionally been a cheese producer.
Naturally thick and creamy, the product has nothing added to it but the fruit layer. It was first introduced on the dairy producer’s social media channels earlier this week.
Wensleydale Creamery managing director David Hartley said: “It’s an exciting time for the brand with the addition of our new yogurts to the Wensleydale Creamery product portfolio.
“We spotted a clear gap in the market for a luxury Yorkshire Yogurt range with a focus on premium quality and a naturally creamy taste.”
