Ready to drink teas rank among the most popular soft drinks in Europe. According to data by the market research company Canadean, in 2012 the sector comprised 4.3 million litres, including a 5% share of all soft drinks consumed in Europe. This translates into year-on-year growth rates of 2.5%.
Wild’s portfolio has now expanded to incorporate concepts featuring brewed tea. This development permits manufacturers to market top quality tea.
“The production process is especially mild so that all of the tea’s volatile components are completely preserved,” said Harry Nugroho, product management extracts at Wild Berlin. “It can be compared to the tea we steep at home.”
Manufacturers can label these Wild products as brewed tea and list the origin of the specific variety by name, such as Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka or Chun Mee green tea.
Wild has developed a concept that can be labelled as ‘freshly brewed tea’, for manufacturers who want a product that has an even greater premium quality. It is completely processed within 48 hours, from the steeping process to filling. Wild produces the ingredients at its production site in Berlin, and to preserve the freshness of the final product, this new development focuses on the German market.
The company is the only supplier in Germany to offer these premium tea concepts.
