William Grant & Sons has released Atopia, its first low-alcohol spirit, as the company attempts to capitalise on the growing demand for low-and no-alcohol beverages.
Created from natural distillates, flavours and extracts, Atopia is available in two flavours: Spiced Citrus and Wild Blossom.
Bottled at 0.5%, ABV Atopia is now available nationwide at Sainsbury’s and Ocado, as well as in over 30 bars in Scotland.
William Grant & Sons claims that Atopia has an “accessible yet distinct flavour profile to elevate the moderated drinking experience,” and each serving of Atopia & Tonic contains 75 times less alcohol than the average Gin & Tonic.
Atopia was created by Lesley Gracie, master distiller at William Grant & Sons, and she said: “Atopia is an exceptional liquid that uses our distilling and blending expertise to create a new generation of spirits.
“Inspired by the more mindful, lifestyle choices of today’s consumer the exquisite liquid comes in two perfectly balanced flavours.
“We’ve ensured there is no compromise on flavour – the taste of Atopia is full, from first taste to finish.”
