Budweiser is inviting consumers to ‘celebrate the freedom of summer’ with the launch of its limited-edition liberty can.
Available throughout August in the UK, the design features an image of the Statue of Liberty with the Budweiser red and white backdrop to achieve standout on shelf.
This is the first time that the liberty design has been launched in the UK, following its success in the US. The new packaging will be supported by a social media campaign, inviting people to post pictures of themselves celebrating summer.
The can will also be available at some of the biggest public summer parties through a series of event partnerships.
Budweiser UK marketing manager Rowan Chidgey said: “Budweiser is synonymous with Americana, freedom and ambition, and the new limited-edition packaging provides the perfect opportunity to visually represent our brand persona; Lady Liberty was the obvious choice.
“We hope the unique, limited-edition design will get consumers even more excited about the iconic Budweiser beer and increase rate of sale throughout the UK this summer.”
The new design is the latest in a series of one-off packaging unveiled by Budweiser, including patriotic cans featuring the names of the 11 US states it is brewed.
