Danone has expanded its Light & Fit brand in the US with the launch of Two Good Greek yogurt.
With 2 grams of total sugar, 12 grams of protein and 80 calories per 5.3oz serving, Two Good is available in five flavours: vanilla, mixed berry, peach, strawberry, and blueberry.
The range has been developed with a patent-pending, slow-straining batching process that removes the sugar from the milk used to make the yogurt.
Danone said that the line has “85% less sugar” than the average yogurt and is still rich in protein.
Two Good is beginning to appear at major US grocery stores now and will available nationwide beginning February 2019 with a suggested retail price of $1.49.
Earlier this year, Danone boosted its Light & Free line in the UK with two flavours of Icelandic-style skyr yogurt. Packaged in 150g tubs, the products are targeted at consumers who want a convenient snack when on the go.
In its most recent quarterly results, Danone saw its net sales shrink by 4.4%, in part due to the poor performance of its infant formula unit in China and a consumer boycott in Morocco.
The world’s largest yogurt maker – which owns brands such as Activia, Evian and Volvic – recorded a revenue fall in three of its four business units.
