Blue Diamond Growers has expanded its Almond Breeze portfolio in the US with a new Mexican hot chocolate flavour.
Free from dairy, lactose, soy and gluten, the almond milk-based beverage features ingredients such as cinnamon, red pepper and allspice – and can be consumed hot or cold.
Like all Almond Breeze Almondmilk products, the latest flavour begins with California-grown almonds “for a delicious and creamy texture”.
“Following the momentum of our recently launched Almondmilk horchata, we’ve continued to draw inspiration from the Latin American community and further our commitment to our customers,” said Suzanne Hagener, director of brand marketing at Blue Diamond Growers.
“We know that people across all cultures enjoy the familiar and comforting flavours of these classic beverages, and have made them more accessible than ever with delicious plant-based variations the whole family can savour.”
Almond Breeze Almondmilk Mexican hot chocolate is now available at retailers across the US.
In May, Blue Diamond expanded into the non-dairy yogurt alternative category in a move to capitalise on surging consumer demand for dairy-free options.
The company has since inaugurated a new energy-saving manufacturing facility in Salida, California, to help it meet growing demand for its products.
