Chosan, a UK-based producer of healthy and exotic drinks, has launched a variety of natural ingredient beverages, which are designed to aid a healthy lifestyle.
Wonjo is a natural hibiscus drink, which is available in Original, Fresh Root Ginger, Moroccan Mint, Warming Spices and Essex Apples flavours. The new soft drink can be consumed as a standalone beverage or as a mixer for alcoholic drinks.
Bouye is a natural energiser baobab drink containing, according to the brand’s website, ‘more calcium than milk, more iron than spinach’ and ‘more potassium than bananas’. Free from added sugar, the drink is said to replenish essential nutrients.
“In the Gambia, most families made their own homemade drinks,” said Chosan’s Eliza jones. “Now I offer similar exotic, healthy drinks to everyone. I was inspired by my aunt who is an expert at making the most delicious drinks from all sorts of local fruits. The secret lies in the simple processes. They are made from pure, natural fruits – not extracts or concentrates like some commercially produced drinks these days – and she avoids all artificial flavouring.
“My research has shown that many consumers of soft drinks are looking for more exotic flavours, but at the same time people want drinks that are low in sugar content, which do not contain extracts, artificial flavours, preservatives and other additives. That’s why Chosan drinks are their obvious choice. My drinks – Wonjo, a refresher drink, and Bouye an energiser – also provide additional health benefits for consumers that make Chosan drinks the natural choice of soft drink for the health conscious.”
