World-inspired soup brand Glorious! has created a limited-edition soup flavour inspired by Spanish paella.
The rice dish is well known and loved around the world and has now been adapted into a deliciously convenient lunchtime option for consumers in the UK.
Glorious! has stayed true to the traditional Valencian recipe, which uses chicken and chorizo. The smoky and aromatic flavour of chorizo, cooked with traditional spices and rice in a rich tomato sauce, make the new product a truly glorious and hearty lunch choice, the brand said.
Claire Roper, brand and category innovation manager for Glorious! Foods, said: “We wanted to bring back those holiday memories of Spanish summer adventures. Whether it’s by the sea on holiday or made at home, paella is one of those dishes that everyone knows and loves!
“We wanted to capture the feeling of the sun on your skin while sipping a glass of sangria on a terrace. You’ve ordered your paella and the scent of it cooking drifts over and makes your mouth water. When it arrives and you enjoy your first mouthful, it’s a stunning blend of golden saffron rice, succulent chicken and chunks of chorizo. It is, in a word, Glorious!”
The new Spanish chicken paella soup limited edition is available from most major supermarkets in the UK with retail prices from £1.98 for a 600g pot. It joins the brand’s existing flavours, inspired by different food cultures, including the recently launched Texan four-bean chilli variety and Vietnamese super-green soup.
In May the brand, best known for its range of soups, announced that it had developed a new line-up of barbecue sauces to add a bit of spice to meat and vegetable dishes.
