General Mills has revealed its latest global product launches, which it said would meet demand ‘for great taste and simplicity’.
They include Oui from yogurt brand Yoplait, a heritage French-style yogurt with whole milk and real fruit that the packaged food company debuted at the end of June.
There’s also new cereals, such as apple Cinnamon Toast Crunch and blueberry Chex, plus new stick bar formats from ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs.
And General Mills has taken its Betty Crocker cake mixes ‘back to basics’ with an original recipe, described as ‘rich and delicious’, that contains only recognisable ingredients and nothing artificial. It’s available in three different variants.
General Mills chief executive Jeff Harmening said: “Regardless of the changing consumer landscape, one thing remains consistent: people still want great-tasting products. We’re increasing our levels of innovation across the board, with a laser focus on delivering exceptional taste with simple ingredients – whether it’s pioneering new innovations like French-style yogurt in the US and Häagen-Dazs mini stick bars in Europe, or renovating a classic like Betty Crocker cake mix.”
As well as the new products, General Mills has updated a range of products – from Cheerios to Progresso soup – as well as expanding its gluten-free and organic offerings, and making nutritional improvements to its products.
