Absolut vodka has unveiled a new lime-flavoured vodka in the US to sit alongside its existing orange and lemon varieties.
Absolut Lime is the newest addition to the brand’s range of flavours, and will step into the limelight at the Grammy Awards next month. The brand will embark on a ‘multifaceted’ sponsorship campaign that will include TV, digital and social activity, as well as a signature cocktail created specifically for the ceremony.
Like its citrus counterparts, Absolut said, new Absolut Lime features its own distinct flavour profile with a balance of full-bodied citrus flavour and a light finish.
Nick Guastaferro, director of marketing for Absolut for brand owner Pernod Ricard, said: “Lime is a very dynamic and complex fruit and we believe we’ve created the perfect flavour blend in Absolut Lime to enhance and elevate a variety of cocktails. Thanks to a delicious flavour and easy mixability, Absolut Lime is great for going out or staying in, for creating simple or complex cocktails. We can’t wait to see how our fans take Absolut Lime and make it their own to create their Absolut Nights.”
The new flavour is produced in Ahus, a small village in southern Sweden that acts as Absolut’s exclusive source. The company sources high-quality ingredients from its farmer suppliers with an unwavering commitment to produce superior, high-quality vodka – all within a 75-mile radius.
