Selectavend is a long established independently-owned vending and water cooler supplier with around 500 bottled and mains fed water coolers across Scotland.
This acquisition is a good strategic fit with Angel Springs existing distribution centre in East Kilbride, which is within easy reach of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Motherwell, Coatbridge and other parts of Scotland. Angel Springs now has a leading presence in the key Scottish market and has ambitions to grow further.
Angel Springs supplies and services more than 55,000 bottled water coolers and mains-fed water coolers, to over 33,000 customers in the UK. In Scotland Angel Springs services a diverse range of customers including St Andrews University, Provident, Phones 4 U, MoD and Glasgow University.
Commenting on the acquisition, Angel Springs managing director John Dundon said: “The acquisition of Selectavend’s water cooler business is another great example of our ambition to grow our business and lead the consolidation of the fragmented water cooler market in the UK. This deal complements our impressive rate of organic growth in Scotland and provides a platform to further expand our customer service focussed model, which is proving to be exceptionally successful in Scotland.
“2012 was a very successful year for us. We have grown our business based on providing great service and have bought a number of new companies into the Angel Springs network. We are proud of our market leading reputation for service and have continued to invest, even in this tough business climate. We have had an incredible year (2013) to date and look set for another very successful year.”
