Aptar Food + Beverage has announced that its Neo closure solution for the infant formula market is now available in food-grade renewable feedstock material.
The polypropylene closure is made using sustainably sourced renewable feedstock derived from different types of renewable sources – such as used cooking oil and remains from oil processing.
This announcement follows the recent news that Aptar has received the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC PLUS), enabling the use of renewable feedstock material for closures production.
This new development in Aptar’s sustainability mission shows its commitment to addressing recyclability and reusability in packaging design. Aptar has made a pledge to use 10% recycled content in dispensing solutions for the beauty, personal care, homecare, food and beverage markets by 2025.
