Ingredients company Barentz International has announced that it has formed a Brazil-based joint venture with Brazilian ingredients distributor Tovani Benzaquen Ingredients.
Expanding the company’s presence in Latin America, the new joint venture company will allow Barentz to offer its range of premixes, ingredients blends and antioxidants to Brazilian consumers.
A statement form Barentz said that the two companies will also collaborate to create innovative new concepts for the Brazilian food & beverage and pharma industries.
Hidde van der Wal, CEO of Barentz International said: “This is our first real entrance into Brazil, a step which fits in perfectly with our global strategy, where Latin America is an important new market.
“Brazil has recovered after some years of recession and we now see great opportunities here, both to develop the country and to grow as a company”.
Moses Benzaquen, CEO of Tovani Benzaquen Ingredients said: “After 25 successful years on the Brazilian market, where our company has grown steadily year by year, the time has come to take a big leap forward together with Barentz.
