Bel Brands USA has added to its Boursin portfolio with a limited-edition apple cinnamon cheese flavour.
Launched to coincide with autumn in the US, the gournay cheese is described as a “delightfully indulgent option”.
“Apple cinnamon is the perfect fall addition to Boursin’s existing flavours, offering another versatile option for guests to enjoy as the seasons change and consumers crave warming seasonal dishes,” said Matt Barlow, brand director of Boursin.
“Incorporate the warm autumnal flavour of Boursin apple cinnamon to sweet and savoury dishes will impress guests at Thanksgiving, or any celebration big or small.”
Boursin apple cinnamon is sold in the deli section of retailers across the US, including Kroger and Albertsons, for a suggested retail price of $5.99.
The launch follows the limited-edition introduction last year of a maple bourbon Boursin flavour. Other variants in the brand’s range include: basil and chive, garlic and fine herbs, and red chili pepper.
Bel Brands USA is a subsidiary of Bel Group, which also sells brands such as The Laughing Cow, Babybel and Leerdammer.
Paris-headquartered Bel Group recently unveiled a “major strategic turn” that includes the development of hybrid products that integrate dairy and plant-based raw materials.
As of 2020, the firm will offer recipes that combine dairy raw materials with vegetables or leguminous plants.
