Winemaker Reh Kendermann has launched two new lines of wine-based drinks as part of its Black Tower brand.
The company has introduced B Fruitiful in passionfruit and grapefruit, and pomegranate and grapefruit, varieties; as well as B Secco sparkling rosé or white wine, as extensions of its B by Black Tower range of lower alcohol wines. B Fruitiful is described as “a delicious and refreshing wine-based drink in two exotic flavour combinations”, while B Secco is “vibrant and lively” with a “light sparkling fizz”; both varietals offer consumers a lower alcohol option with fewer than 65 calories in every 125ml glass, allowing them to more easily control their consumption.
In consumer research, the brand said, 90% of 18-30 year old consumers claimed to like the fruit flavours of B Fruitiful and saw the name as playful and fun.
Both wines are now being listed across the UK in independent specialists and cash and carries, as well as in select Irish retailers such as Dunnes, Musgraves and Spar.
Reh Kendermann managing director Alex Rittlinger said: “The UK has seen fantastic growth in the fruit-flavoured wine as well as the sparkling market sectors. With the introduction of B Fruitiful and B Secco we have an outstanding range of wines which combine with the benefits of being lower alcohol to make them the perfect choice for today’s consumer.”Ba
