Chobani is expanding its portfolio of Greek yogurts with a high-protein range paired with nut butters.
The new line, which goes on sale in the US this month, includes vanilla Greek yogurt with almond butter, plain Greek yogurt with almond butter, honey Greek yogurt with almond butter, chocolate Greek yogurt with hazelnut butter, and vanilla Greek yogurt with cashew butter.
“Our fans love adding nut butters to their Chobani Greek yogurt and at our Chobani Café, the combination has consistently been among the best sellers for many years,” said Peter McGuinness, chief marketing and commercial officer, Chobani.
“This inspired us to create a new platform, perfectly pairing Greek yogurt with nut butters like almond and hazelnut, to create a food that’s high in protein, has less sugar than other yogurts, and just the right amount of healthy fats to power consumers throughout the day.”
Each single-serve 5.3oz cup will be available with a suggested retail price of $1.69.
Like all Chobani products, the new line is made using non-GMO ingredients, and no artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners or preservatives. Each single-serve 5.3oz cup will be available in the US with a suggested retail price of $1.69.
To support the launch, Chobani is kicking off a creative marketing campaign with paid social support running throughout summer.
The company is also expanding its Flip yogurt range this summer with two new flavours – Boston cream pie, and cookie dough – and will launch a new Greek yogurt with peaches and cream.
Earlier this year, Chobani released nine coconut-based products to capitalise on consumer demand for plant-based dairy alternatives.
