Independent foodservice brand Country Range has launched a new range of barbecue pulled pork and two new gourmet burger products to tap into the growing trend for Americana cuisine in the UK.
The three frozen products will be available to the foodservice sector exclusively through Country Range Group wholesalers in time for National Burger Day, which falls on 25 August.
The new Country Range pulled pork in barbecue sauce consists of marinated, slow-cooked Irish pulled pork in a sticky barbecue sauce which only needs defrosting and reheating. The addition is perfect on top of a burger in a brioche bun but equally delicious as a filling in wraps, jacket potatoes or the on-trend Mexican carnitas or tacos, Country Range said.
The company has also launched two new burger products.
The new gourmet steak burger is a tender, rustic-looking burger with a 99% meat content that can be cooked from frozen in 18 minutes, while Country Range’s new Aberdeen Angus burger is made with Aberdeen Angus beef and has a distinctive marbling and texture that makes it ideal for premium burger offerings.
The barbecue pulled pork is available in 1kg catering packs in cases of 4, while the burgers come in 170g servings in packs of 30.
Martin Ward, trading director for Country Range Group, said: “We’re thrilled to be adding to our frozen meat range with these incredibly well-made, on-trend products. The excitement for authentic US food and drink is showing no signs of letting up so we’re confident operators and caterers alike will appreciate the premium taste, high quality and convenience the trio offer.”
