Diet Coke has announced that TV personality Holly Willoughby will be its new brand ambassador in the UK.
The brand said that Willoughby would ‘lend her voice’ to a programme of marketing activity for the diet soft drink throughout 2017.
She will work with Diet Coke on a range of promotions designed ‘to celebrate friendship, travel, fashion and fun’.
Willoughby is best known as a presenter on daytime magazine show This Morning, as well as being the face of a number of prime-time entertainment formats.
Her involvement will allow Diet Coke – the flagship diet soft drink from Coca-Cola – to increase its appeal among its target audience of young women.
Simon Harrison, operational marketing director for Coca-Cola European Partners GB, said: “We’re proud to be working with Holly to bring some extra sparkle to Diet Coke activity this year. She’s the perfect partner for us. We’re looking forward to sharing what we have planned with Holly.”
And speaking on the partnership, Holly Willoughby added: “I’ve always been a big Diet Coke fan, right from the original Break ads we all remember with great fondness. The brand is well-known for celebrating friendship, fashion and fun, which are all very important to me. I’m excited to be involved!”
