Mineral water brand Evian has launched a new social media promotion in the run-up to the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) on Sunday.
Visitors to the brand’s Facebook page are being offered the chance to win an exclusive BAFTA nominee gift bag by guessing the film behind five new posters designed in Evian’s brand colours.
It will also run its own awards ceremony on Twitter to coincide with the BAFTAs, presenting honours such as “best British tweet” and “best visual effects tweet” to users who get in touch with the company’s @evian account using the hashtag #EEBAFTA.
Sophie Allard, Evian UK’s marketing manager, said: “Evian is extremely proud to be a supporter of BAFTA and we wanted to celebrate this year by paying tribute to some of the most iconic movies around.”
Raphael Turner, account director for We Are Social, who worked with Evian to create the campaign, said: “Film art is a popular, growing trend in the social and digital landscape, and makes for fun, original and shareable content. Our campaign taps into this online behaviour to raise awareness of the Evian-BAFTA partnership.”
