Geloso Beverage Group has released an alcoholic iced coffee malt beverage line in the US as it aims to offer a twist on traditional Irish coffee.
Called Mad Bean Coffee, the 4.5% ABV range is made using arabica coffee beans and is available in two flavours: mocha and vanilla.
According to Geloso, the Mad Bean line separates itself from similar beverages with its “rich, yet subtle silky flavour”.
The beverages are sold in two sizes – 24oz cans and 12oz cans – that are packaged as a four-pack.
Mary Chapman, marketing director for Geloso Beverage Group, said: “Mad Bean is the perfect drink for any occasion, whether it’s a pre-game, a tailgate, a brunch, anything.
“The convenience of hard coffee in many situations is what makes Mad Bean extremely appealing to our consumers.”
Paul Rene, Geloso vice-president of US operations, added: “Geloso Beverage Group prides itself on being an innovator in the flavoured malt beverage category.
“We believe this could be the next big category that is going to change the shelves at retail.”
Launched in 2002, Geloso Beverage Group is based in Rochester, New York, and exclusively serves the US market. It sells and distributes a range of beverages, including; Clubtails, Johny Bootlegger and Pepito.
