Ginsters has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of two new limited edition savouries, which will be available from the middle of next week.
The new pulled pork slice, and steak and Cornish blue cheese pasty, will be available for 12 weeks in the multiples, impulse, convenience and forecourt channels. Supported by point-of-sale activity, they will be available with a recommended retail price of £1.99.
The brand that said that the pulled pork slice follows the successful launch of the Ginsters pulled pork sandwich and comprises tender British pork, soaked in a rich onion gravy with pork and thyme stuffing, a hint of whole grain mustard, wrapped inside a puff pastry case and baked until golden.
The steak and Cornish blue cheese pasty meanwhile is a Ginsters twist on the classic steak and stilton pasty, created with the finest quality locally sourced smooth and creamy Cornish blue cheese, British beef, potato, onion, mature cheddar cheese and cracked black pepper.
Ginsters sales and marketing director Linda Evans said: “Our latest limited editions have been inspired by the flavour trends at the moment and modern twists on classic favourites. Pulled pork has seen a surge in popularity in both the food-to-go and prepared meals category, while the steak and Cornish blue cheese pasty reflects our commitment to using the best quality locally sourced produce.”
