British brand Grant’s Foods has launched a subcategory of chilli products to capitalise on the success of its chilli con carne.
The range consists of Mexican chicken chilli, Spanish chilli and Italian chilli. All products are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, and produced using 100% natural ingredients.
Grant’s Foods, which is known for producing a line of tinned haggis, aims to provide an exciting alternative to the current range of basic chillis on the market.
Sophie Cassidy, marketing executive at Grant’s, said: “The new products deliver on several key points – they help to generate fixture excitement, they are attractively packaged, offering a stand-out presence on shelves, and they meet shopper and consumer desire for new flavours and styles.”
Already available in the convenience sector and Asda, the line is being launched this month in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Co-op.
Each of the chillis is sold with a recommended retail price of £1.79.
