Hain Daniels has expanded its jam offering in the UK with the launch of new brand William’s British Conserves, which it describes as “the new premium conserve within the jam category”.
Three variants are available – strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant – in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Ocado in a 340g jar, retailing for £2.80.
The products are packaged in an embossed jar and a decorated sleeve, designed to create standout on shelf and table appeal for breakfast and afternoon tea occasions.
The launch adds to Hain Daniels’ extensive conserve portfolio in the UK, including brands such as Hartley’s, Frank Cooper’s, Robertson’s and Rose’s.
Ruth Snowdon Gough, grocery marketing director for the Hain Daniels Group, said: “We’re delighted to have launched William’s British Conserves. Premium brands are driving growth for jams and spreads and we’re seeing that consumers are willing to spend more on products that are unique or special.
“We have developed a new premium brand – William’s – to inspire consumers and offer more choice within the category. William’s British Conserves are made with British-grown fruit and have a distinctive fruity taste.
“We want to get consumers excited to try William’s British Conserves for breakfast and beyond. That’s why we’ll be taking William’s on a tour of county shows this summer, offering free samples; we know once consumers have tried it, they’ll love it.”
