Powdered food producer Huel has launched a mint chocolate flavour system that is designed to be added to Huel meal replacement powders.
The new flavour system joins a line-up of ten other variants – including matcha tea, cacao, banana, and strawberry – which were created to allow consumers to customise Huel on their own way, all designed to work with both vanilla and unsweetened Huel.
UK-based Huel produces a line of nutritionally complete products, all formulated to contain a balance of protein, carbohydrates and fats, plus all 26 essential vitamins and minerals consumers need on a daily basis.
The flavour systems contain no Huel and are created using natural ingredients; the mint chocolate variant is made from cocoa powder, natural flavouring and sweetener (stevia), and is 100% vegan. It is available with a recommended retail price of £7.50 per 150g.
Speaking of the launch of Huel powders, founder Julian Hearn said: “This product has been a long time in the making; it seems that it wasn’t so long ago that we could only imagine a world where we’d be able to consume everything our bodies needed without having our time taken up by planning and preparing meals – not to mention the washing up afterwards.
“This is now a reality for British consumers and we are excited to see how Huel changes the face of health for customers. Not only does the powdered food alternative free up the time and money traditionally spent on food for so many people here in the UK, it does so without compromising quality or nutritional value.”
Last November, James McMaster, the former CEO of Australian breakfast brand Up&Go, was named new CEO of Huel.
