On Monday at IFE 2017, FoodBev Media presented the World Food Innovation Awards, celebrating the very best innovation from the global food industry. Innovation wasn’t just present on The Big Picture Theatre stage, though, with the show in full swing. Companies from around the world descend on the Excel exhibition centre in London every two years to showcase their newest products and network with buyers, sellers and distributors.
The FoodBev team were lucky enough to mingle with some exciting names in confectionery, ice cream and alcoholic beverages – it’s a tough job but somebody has to do it! We spoke with Tony Goodman, CEO of Ten Acre, about an exciting new product from the popcorn and crisp brand. And Tom Chatfield, from cheese brand Quicke’s, talked us through the process of making fine clothbound cheddar.
