Frozen food manufacturer Schwan has collaborated with retired professional golfer Jack Nicklaus to launch a new range of ice cream.
The ice cream will initially be available in seven flavour combinations – chocolate peanut butter swirl, coffee and doughnuts, homemade vanilla, salted caramel toffee, strawberry lemonade, triple chocolate, and warm spiced butter pecan. Available in pint-sized tubs, the range will retail for a recommended price of $1.99.
Schwan and Nicklaus have also jointly committed to donating a share of the profits from the sale of the ice creams to the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation – a charitable organisation founded by the retired golfer in 2004, which seeks to provide families access to world-class paediatric care.
The formulation of the product is something Jack and his wife Barbara seemed to have revelled in.
Nicklaus said: “It’s no secret that I love ice cream. Needless to say, I have never had so much fun in the research and development of a product. The team at Schwan has a world-class product development centre. Together, we have created a variety of flavours—all with real ingredients—for a quality, premium ice cream at a value price.”
Howard Milstein, co-chairman of the Nicklaus Companies, said: “Jack’s whole life is synonymous with excellence, family, and charity, and our new collaboration with Schwan embodies all three values in a hand-picked selection of delicious ice cream flavours that also supports children’s healthcare. What could possibly taste better?”
