KeVita, the US brand of fermented probiotic and kombucha beverages, has today announced the launch of three new flavours in its line of cleansing probiotic apple cider vinegar tonics.
The new flavours – “sweet and tangy” Meyer lemon, “zesty” ginseng-mandarin, and “juicy” elderberry – have been made available at retailers nationwide. The ginseng-mandarin and elderberry variants will roll out this autumn in exclusive partnership with Whole Foods Market.
The three products join KeVita’s line-up of fermented, functional beverages designed to revitalise from the inside with live probiotics and functional ingredients. The line expansion reaffirms KeVita’s leadership in this fast-growing category with the largest distribution of drinking vinegars in the country, it said.
KeVita CEO and co-founder Bill Moses said: “With the trend of drinking vinegars on the rise, we aim to drive innovation and find more ways to help consumers live healthier lives with the best ingredients. KeVita’s sparkling tonics are a trifecta of functionality with cleansing apple cider vinegar, the natural digestive support of probiotics, and deliciously functional ingredients, like turmeric and ginseng, making them the ultimate functional value on the market.”
Apple cider vinegar has long been used as a home remedy to help control appetite, cholesterol, and blood sugar. With a recent resurgence among health-conscious consumers, KeVita has transformed the taste and use, bringing the first sparkling drinking vinegars to the modern marketplace. The three flavours are handcrafted with apple cider vinegar, KeVita’s proprietary water kefir culture, 4 billion colony forming units of live probiotics, 100% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C, and only 25 calories per 8oz serving.
The new offerings are all functionally enhanced with delicious ingredients such as the antibiotic meyer lemon, immunity-boosting ginseng, and highly nutritious elderberry.
Joining an existing line-up of flavours, including turmeric-ginger, chilli-ginger-lime and cinnamon, the new flavours bring the total number of individual products in the KeVita tonics line to six.
