Preserves brand Mammy Jamia’s has launched a range of fruit-inspired dressings.
Its new plum and ginger, balsamic and fig, and balsamic and strawberry dressings are available in 300g bottles and cost £2.95 each. The three-flavour range has already secured a listing in 250 Waitrose stores.
Mammy Jamia’s co-founder Andrew Cairns said: “We are delighted to have won the listing for our new range of dressings with Waitrose and have already had interest with other supermarkets about taking our products.
“Our plan was always to extend the range of premium products under the Mammy Jamia’s brand and we have a number of other ideas currently being worked on by Sajmira and Sophie, who head up our new product development team.
“Our dressings are wonderfully fresh and tasty and we think their fruity flavours will really shake up the dressing category. Great on salads, they are also perfect with cheeses, meats, roasted vegetables, marinades and as a stir-fry sauce.”
Waitrose buyer Jo Heywood said: “I was the buyer initially responsible for listing Mammy Jamia’s premium-range preserves and we’re delighted at Waitrose to now be the first to stock their wonderful new range of dressings.
“Mammy Jamia’s fruit-inspired dressings are an exciting and innovative addition to the category and we know our customers are going to love them.”
In addition to its presence in the UK, Mammy Jamia’s products are proving increasingly popular in overseas markets where stockists include LuLu Hypermarkets and Spanish department store El Corte Ingles.
