The disposal of the business by Nestlé follows the decline in sales in 2008 posted by Nestlé’s bottled water business, the only division within the Nestlé group to reportedly miss its full-year revenue target.
Saint Springs was taken over by Nestlé in 2002 but the brand was originally founded in 1993.
Nestlé has confirmed its intentions to continue to improve the distribution of the Perrier, Vittel, and S. Pelegrino brands in Russia as well as carry on bottling activities under the brand name Nestlé Pure Life.
Present in all distribution channels, in small formats as well as in large containers for home & office delivery, Saint Springs spring source and main production site are based in Kostroma, 350km northeast of Moscow.
