A new healthy soft drink, Prir, will allow consumers to “drink themselves beautiful” after launching in Boots stores in the UK.
The brand claims to offer “hydration for you and nutrition for your skin, hair and nails” and is available in three flavours: orange and passionfruit, apricot and elderflower, and blackcurrant. The first in a range of drinks, it will help provide combinations of vitamins and minerals needed by the body on a regular basis, Prir added.
Prir creator Anthony Salway said: “Prir combines hydration with great taste, and 50% of the key nutrients vitamin B2, B3 and biotin, which contribute to the maintenance of normal skin; selenium and zinc, which contribute to the maintenance of normal hair and nails.
“We are extremely proud to launch our drink that not only refreshes and tastes great, but also gives us the knowledge that we are giving ourselves a good basis for healthy skin, hair and nails.”
Prir’s push into retail is being led by Danielle Phillips (left) and Anthony Salway.
“We really are what we eat – and drink,” added Prir CEO Danielle Phillips. “Hydrating is an essential part of a balanced nutritional diet.
“Being a woman of a certain age, I believe I could do with all the help I can get, but the reality is that people of all ages are looking for ways to maintain their health and appearance, and Prir gives us an easy option to ensure a reliable daily intake of specific vitamins and minerals that might not be in everyone’s normal daily diet. I like to think of Prir as multi-tasking – I quench my thirst, hydrate my body and get helpful vitamins and minerals, so I feel it’s a win-win-win option.”
Boots UK has obtained exclusive rights to sell Prir nationally in the self-service sector and as part of their meal deal, launching in their top 398 stores.
Prir contains just 34 calories per 100ml – equivalent to 112 calories per bottle, in addition to 5.8g of sugar per 100ml – and has no artificial sweeteners, colours, flavourings or preservatives.
